It’s hard to see beautiful actresses like Reese Witherspoon and Drew Barrymore walking the red carpet in a slinky dress or frolicking on the beach with a tiny bikini body and not feel a pang of envy. Even post-pregnancy, they look gorgeous! The good news is, although it might be hard to believe, these stars aren’t superheroes and their tips and tricks can work for pretty much anyone.
Kristin Bell, most recently seen in “Scream 4″, has great down-to-earth advice for sneaking in an extra workout or two. She recommends turning get-togethers with friends into opportunities to be active, for example, a fun game of Ultimate Frisbee or hiking with the dogs. It’s more fun than yet another hour on the treadmill and helps make time for the special people in your life!
The ever-lovely Drew Barrymore doesn’t believe in deprivation. She recommends having everything you want, but in smaller, reasonable quantities. Smart as well as gorgeous, she understands that telling yourself that you can’t have something just makes you want it more.
Beautiful and svelte Jessica Alba has health concerns that run in her family. To combat her genetic disposition to high blood pressure and cholesterol, she makes sure to focus her diet mostly around lean proteins like chicken and fish and gets her fill of fruits and vegetables. She tries to avoid desserts and bread, but does enjoy strawberry or chocolate frozen yogurt.
Hilarious and stunning Tina Fey recommends Weight Watchers. She lost about 35 pounds following their program. She credits them with teaching her how to eat properly. Another celebrity that is all about Weight Watchers is their current spokeswoman, singer and actress Jennifer Hudson, who looks absolutely incredible and healthy.
Newsanchor Diane Sawyer is all about the water. To improve the taste and feel like you’re getting a treat, she recommends cutting up slices of lime and freezing them, then dropping them into the glass. Maybe the next best thing to a margarita?
Reese Witherspoon maintains her incredible post-baby body by running. She says she runs for about an hour at a time and likes to run with friends. She warns that it takes some time to master the art of running while having a good chat about life, love and kids, but it’s worth it!
